Description: Public Improvement Districts are created by City Council action. The purpose of a Public Improvement District is to undertake certain Public Infrastructure Purposes (as defined in the Public Improvement District Act (New Mexico Statutes-Sections 5-11-1 through 5-11-27)), including, but not limited to, financing certain Public Infrastructure Improvements (also defined in the Public Improvement District Act) through the sale of special levy bonds.
